R+P Post 26: Set design, location and props

The bedroom set-up

Due to the fact we've decided to shoot our music video onto a green screen in the studio, this means that nothing has to be done to our backgrounds for the shoot. Instead, we're focusing on trying to design the set to make it look like the situations we're aiming for, for example, the bedroom set-up with a desk and chair. However, because of the ability to add in props in post-production, we actually have few things to set up for the shoot.

We ordered most of the few props we did need online such as the water guns and glowsticks but I also made a trip to a party shop to pick up balloons, confetti and party poppers.

We have an all black set up at the end of our music video so we played around with this to make sure the glowsticks showed up.

We also need to include the microphone and DJ kit in our performance shots which means we have to source them. We had a group meeting discussing this and then asked if the media department had the items we needed.
